Starting with 1997, Daewoo-Mangalia Heavy Industries, a joint venture between worlwide well known shipbuilding leader Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in Korea and "2 Mai" Mangalia Shipyard in Romania has been one of the most competitive shipbilding, conversion & repair shipyard in the Black Sea area. Thus, in a relatively short period, the company managed to obtain the Certificate of Approval for the quality standard ISO 9001:2000 and improved its productivity more than four times, as compared to 1997. After developing suitable business programs our company has an annual construction capacity by 6 Panamax by 75 k dwt/year and repair capacity 40 vessels/year.
